My mission is to speak, sing, and create in service to the glory of God, according to His call. About 12 years ago, as I was praising the Lord alone at the piano, I felt the Lord call me to serve him as a worship leader. He showed me as a worship leader and artist; praising him in a way that brought others into praise. I wish I could say “and so here I am and the rest is history!” Instead however, a moment later, I promptly stopped playing, slammed the cover down of the piano, and responded passionately, “NO, THAT’S TOO HARD!” And just like Jonah, I stormed out in the opposite direction of my Nineveh.

Years later, I made my way out of the whale’s mouth and slowly started to respond “yes.” I may not have actually been swallowed by a large fish, but not living into my call, a call I had known even before it seemed to be stirred up before me, felt just as futile. I’d love to say I have been able to say “YES” wholeheartedly to the Lord every day of my life, but perhaps it is a grace I haven’t, so I can share with you and others that in our weakness, HE is our strength. And that nothing is impossible for God, if we let him work for our good.
